Artist/Photographer/Wife/Mom

I began my interest in art when I was a small child. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I always said some kind of artist; the specifics always changed, but it was always Art. I took as many art classes as I could in school, but didn't have much support at home when it came to my interests.

As an adult, I began self-studying everything I could-painting, polymer clay sculpture, digital art, writing, and jewelry. With my physical and mental health slowly declining, I had a few obstacles to overcome. I finally got a chance to go back to school in 2011.  I started college at Riverland Community College in Austin, Minnesota. Because of my health problems, it took me longer than the normal two years to complete my associate degree. This gave me plenty of time to take as many art classes as I could. I also met the love of my life during my time there and got married in March of 2017.

I graduated a couple of months after my wedding in June of 2017 with both an Associates in Liberal Arts degree as well as an Associates in Fine Arts. I then Transferred to Minnesota State University, Mankato to pursue my Bachelors in Fine Arts, I'm currently working on that degree with a first concentration in Photography and a second in Ceramics.

I’m a mixed media artist and work in a variety of mediums: painting, ceramics, drawing, photography, a little bit of everything. I like learning about new intriguing, or adventurous places, people and items and introducing them into my artistic view for my work. I don't have a specific medium or style that I work in. I enjoy trying everything.
